Akzo Nobel Functional Chemicals AB is responsible for the development, production and marketing of ethanol- and ethylene amines. In Stenungsund, Sweden, our employees work in production, research and development, marketing, finance, administration, and management. In addition, the unit is responsible for the production of ethylene oxide in Stenungsund, and is also sourcing and marketing ethylene amines from the EDC based production facilities in Leverkusen, Germany.

We serve customers throughout the world with ethylene amines and ethanolamines, which are key building blocks for the manufacture of everything from chelating agents, fungicides, detergents, paints, adhesives, lubricating oil additives, fuel additives, asphalt additives and cutting fluids to cosmetics, tissue paper, soaps, textile and fabric softeners, and pharmaceuticals.
